When it comes to a dining experience close to perfection, nothing can be compared to Al Bustan Grill, located at InterContinental Cairo Citystars.

The venue is an outdoor restaurant with simple yet elegant decor. The wooden tent enhanced by off white curtains, shimmering under the shiny sun and waving in the breeze adds a charming touch to the place.

The food is yet another asset. The venue boasts an appealing three-course menu that includes either a salad or a soup, main course and a dessert (don’t forget soft drinks are also on offer).

To get ourselves started, we kicked off with yummy juices (prepared straight on the spot!) and freshly baked bread. The staff didn’t stand idly by, advising us on the menu’s best items. We went for the deliciously creamy Lentil Soup (Egyptians’ natural choice in winter months) and the tempting Caesar Salad (literally the best we've tasted so far).

Then came the palatable, mouthwatering main courses. Half Grilled Chicken Tikka with French Fries and Raita (an Indian dip made of yogurt and seasoned with different types of herbs and spices) and Australian Rump Medallions (thinly sliced steak drizzled in mushroom sauce) served with potato Provencal (potato cubes roasted with garlic and parsley).

Even though the food was filling, we bothered to leave room for dessert. The choice was tough as the list of their sweet items was very impressive (even such picky visitors like us were blown away by their offerings). Our ultimate choice was their incredible Chocolate Cake that was so soft it melted in the mouth (Tip to the wise: Cream Caramel is also a must-try!).

Stuffed to the brim, we could hardly breathe (or walk) when the food adventure was finally over. Definitely recommended!
