If you are looking to change up your normal dinner routine, Noble House is the perfect place to enjoy delicious Chinese food. Located in the upscale Fairmont Heliopolis and Towers, the restaurant definitely lives up to its posh surroundings.
The décor is of a sleek, modern, Asian-inspired design. Low lighting and a red and black color motif contribute to a sensual atmosphere, which makes this restaurant perfect for those romantic outings.
Additionally, Noble House employs a tea master, Tao Qiang from Shanghai, who puts on quite a show. This is why it is advisable to come during rush times to experience tea served in a way you have never seen before.
Chef Kirbe Chang has prepared a wonderful array of dishes that will suit any palette. The Char Siew Buns were moist and light and served with multiple sauces including a very spicy chili sauce for the adventurous diner. The soup menu ranged from Seafood Consommé to Sweet Corn, but being in an Asian restaurant, I had to have the Miso Soup. With mussels, Nama Tofu, seaweed Wagame, and Soya bean stock, this soup was flavorful and quite filling. The Hoi Sin Duck cannot be beat for a main dish. The pieces of duck breast were tender and appropriately sweetened by Hoi Sin sauce and then laid over fresh vegetables. However, the best part of the meal had to be the Salmon Teppanyaki. Delicate and savory, the salmon was literally melting in the mouth.
Green Tea Ice Cream served with fresh fruit was a perfect end to the meal. Lest you think this restaurant is solely geared towards the carnivore, Noble House also offers vegetarian friendly dishes such as Vegetable Spring Rolls and Fukien Tofu.
The food is amazing, but no restaurant experience is complete without an attentive and friendly staff such as the one at Noble House. Refills were prompt and, to my delight, they even provided those warm towels before the meal (how do they get those towels to smell so good?) In the final analysis, Noble House’s quiet atmosphere makes it the great place for a business dinner or a date and your companion will be suitably impressed by the food. Next time you are thinking Chinese, I highly recommend skipping ordering in and heading straight to Noble House.
Must See and Must Try: tea service and delicious Teppanyaki.
The Final Verdict – An upscale restaurant perfect for an intimate dinner.
