What is fine hospitality? The hospitality that offers you unique value accompanied by incredible service, that creates chic and elegant atmosphere just for you and that makes you feel an exception. It is Steaks, the place that has it all under one roof, the roof of Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza.
Walking through the entrance, which is shared between two restaurants Steaks and Aqua, we saw two big aquariums on each side of the walls, both filled with different types of amazing and colorful fish. The entrance was also the place where the open buffet was set. Passing by Aqua that promised great delights and definitely encouraged us to visit it next time, we reached Steaks very excited.
The place actually described its name in a very creative way, decorating the walls with black and white posters featuring Egyptian life in the 19th century; underlying the main theme of the restaurant, namely meat.
Located at the center of the restaurant was a big display of a wide assortment of wines for those who want to add to their fine dining experience. The table we picked gave us the chance to enjoy the marvelous Nile view while listening to a collection of classic hits, whereas the table itself was set by different types of must-have spices that create a special flavor with every dish.
After the waiter welcomed us with scented wet-towels (typical Four Seasons’ hospitality) another member of the staff treated us to different types of breads, of which we chose the tasty sun dried bread with butter.
Back to the open buffet that we decided it was about the time to explore, it didn’t disappoint in either quality or selection. We started with the creamy Mushroom Soup and then headed to the salad bar that had everything ranging from seafood and poultry to meat salad, but the one that took all the credits was the Chicken Salad (chicken stripes mixed with pineapple, apple and mint). The main course section was full of different items which were all worth a try: Juicy and tender Steaks cooked according to your preferences, Coconut Rice, Shrimp with Curry Sauce, Sautéed Vegetables, Salmon, Veal Piccata with Lemon Sauce and, last but not least, Mashed Potatoes.
Think that is all? Think again, because Tuesday nights are highlighted by Sushi-Steak theme, displaying all kinds of Sushi and Sashimi.
We agreed on not having our dessert now because we were so full, so the waiter offered to bring us Green Tea with Mint just to prepare our stomach for the sweet taste. Choosing from the dessert section we found all what we needed, a huge variety of international sweets presented in a small-bite sized portions; just perfect for a non-resisting filled stomach. I have to mention that by the smart performance of three professional chefs (the executive chef, the steak chef and the seafood chef) this buffet was the ideal result. The service also went beyond delivering food; the friendly, smiling staff proved to us that fine dining couldn’t be found anywhere else.
To sum it up, in Steaks, without doubt, you will live the-once-in-a-lifetime experience.
